Guido Buenstorf (University of Kassel), Kristian Nielsen (Aalborg University) and Bram Timmermans (Norwegian School of Economics) recently published the article "Steve Jobs or No Jobs? Entrepreneurial Activity and Performance Among Danish College Dropout and Graduates" in Small Business Economics. The study challenges the more and more common view that formal education is of limited importance for individuals deciding to enter entrepreneurship instead of the labour market. Both startup activity and performance are investigated for dropouts and graduates based on Danish register data.
